PRESS RELEASE: Greenhouse Conference Feb. 21 - 23

Greenhouse Conference Feb. 21 - 23, 2017

The Newfoundland and Labrador Horticulture Producers Council in partnership with the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agrifoods will host the 2017 Greenhouse Conference in St. John’s, February 21-23, 2017.

The conference has been organized for greenhouse growers specializing in floriculture (flowers and plants) and greenhouse vegetable growers.

Conference participants will attend sessions on greenhouse heating, lighting, ventilation systems, plant disease prevention, integrated pest management programs, and hydroponic production.  The conference will enable growers to network with industry experts and explore the opportunities and challenges of greenhouse production from a producer’s perspective.

The Horticulture Producers Council is pleased to offer another annual event assisting the growth and development of our fruit and vegetable sectors. This is a great opportunity for our membership to network with other stakeholders from across the province and around the world. We look forward to a successful conference and thank Growing Forward 2 for the continued support of our industry.

Mary Lester, Vice-President, NL Horticulture Producers Council
